My son and I booked a twin room. When we went into the room it felt tiny. So I went downstairs and asked if they had a larger room. Wow did I get value for money when I booked a larger twin room. At 30 square meters it felt like double the size of the regular twin room and we had a corner room so we had incredible views of Tokyo on both sides. The beds were comfortable and there was a separate seating area and a sofa which was really nicely laid out. Even though the regular twin is 19th square meters this one felt so much larger and more comfortable and for only A$20 extra or not it was great value. The happy hour is also really nice. Generous drinks and some snacks. Great access to the Yamanote line, and very close to the Rainbow Bridge which I would highly recommend for an evening walk to see the great Lights of Tokyo. It's just around the corner from the hotel and there are very few tourists!!

Everything was brilliant, Tokyo is an amazing place and the hotel and stay added to that. The location was perfect for us, easy to find, close proximity to the stations and connections to the various routes / attractions. The area was quiet and had various amenities (Lawsons / 7Eleven) within very close walking distance. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and shower was very powerful. The bed was firm and we found it comfortable, the room was adequate for us, we had two large suitcases and managed to use the space comfortably. ( space under the bed to store the suitcases). We didn’t need to wait for the lift very long, even during the breakfast period. Overall excellent value for money and great hotel.

The location is definitely the best point of this hotel, Tamachi station is really close and you can use the Yamanote line from there (works with JR pass if you have that, but either way the one you'll use most as a tourist). Other than that, the rooms are on the 14th to 17th floor of the building so the view is really nice, we could see Mount Fuji from our room. There is enough space for handling your luggage, even space to sit down and place things on the desk and table next to the bed. Cleaning is not every single day which is okay but we did get new towels and water etc daily. You can get toothbrushes and other things you might need at the lobby. They were able to provide travel plug adapters and luggage scales when we needed them.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The location was very convenient, and the room was clean, bright, and equipped with full blackout curtains, which ensured a comfortable night’s sleep. I especially liked the unique open-air space outside the rooms, where you can enjoy a pleasant breeze and even appreciate the beautiful rain on rainy days. A few bonus highlights: the hotel offers great views of multiple train lines, including the Shinkansen — a real treat if you (or your kids) are train enthusiasts like our toddler! There were also free drink hours, which was a very nice extra touch. Getting to Haneda Airport was easy — it took about 30 minutes by taxi and cost approximately 6,500 yen

We loved our stay at Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Tokyo Tamachi. The bed and bathroom were clean. The room was spacious enough. There was also a small couch area for us to rest in. They also offer free snacks in the afternoon/early evening. Our only issue is its location because it’s a bit far from the nearest train station. It’s not a very big issue but if you are in a rush, it will take a minimum of 10 minutes to brisk walk to or from Tamachi station. Otherwise, everything else was great! Highly recommended. Even if it’s a bit far from the station, the neighborhood was peaceful and there were streets of cherry blossoms nearby that weren’t crowded with tourists.
